Start with the transport configuration
Confirm what will remain installed and what will be removed for shipment. Radiators, bushings, conservators, oil, and accessories affect transport dimensions, weight, preparation, and reassembly.
Evaluate the route and receiving site
Share origin and destination details with the logistics team. Route constraints, bridge capacity, clearances, permit requirements, access geometry, and ground conditions need project-specific evaluation by qualified providers.
Coordinate oil and accessory movements
The main transformer, accessories, oil, and installation equipment may arrive separately. Build the sequence around site readiness, unloading resources, storage, and the planned reassembly work.
Define the handoffs
Identify responsibility for preparation, loading, freight, customs where applicable, offloading, final placement, reassembly, and testing. Include these responsibilities in the agreed scope and schedule.
Plan the final placement
Discuss foundation readiness, access, rigging, crane or jack-and-slide requirements, and installation interfaces before the equipment is dispatched. Site-specific engineering and approved work plans govern execution.
This guide supports project scoping. Unit-specific engineering review and the agreed project documents govern equipment acceptance and execution.
